JMI’s largest project to date, spanning over 1450m², marked a new direction for us, showcasing not only our expertise but also our unwavering commitment to perfection. Starting just after the Covid pandemic, this massive project came with a range of challenges. Sourcing materials and freight from around the world proved difficult, and the timber shortage meant we couldn’t rely on the timber yards to prefabricate the framing for such a large-scale build. As a result, we hand-crafted the frames ourselves, ensuring every detail was built to the highest standard.
This situation also meant that we had to design and adapt as we were building as material shortages and rising prices forced us to continually adjust our approach to what materials we could use and to stay within the client’s budget while still meeting the project deadline. Despite these obstacles, the Lodge’s opening was a resounding success. It stands as a testament to the hard work, resilience, and passion that defines JMI.
